My boyfriend, Will, often says ridiculous things without realizing how crazy they sound. Shortly after I met him, I started to write down what he said and when he said it. By the time his birthday rolled around, I had enough quotes to fill a book, so that is what I did. I turned his short sayings into poems, I gave them titles, and I drew pictures to illustrate what he said. I formatted the book using Adobe InDesign and I printed it through Barnes & Noble Press. I gave him the physical copy of the book for his birthday in 2022.
This is the entire front and back cover design for the book. I drew the front cover and did the formatting for this spread in Adobe Illustrator. Barnes & Noble Press has strict guidelines about the formatting of the book including the dimensions of the binding, margins, and bleed.
This is one of the pages in the book. I drew every single picture in the book, using Adobe Illustrator to do so.
