In my third year of undergrad in 2020, I took a User Experience Design course that served as my very first introduction to UX and UI. This document was a final project I put together about a fictional app I created called Popcorn Picker. For this project I mapped the user experience, documented my indented users, conducted usability testing on my prototype, and created high fidelity wireframes of all of the landing pages.
I think this project is fun and was a well-intentioned effort. I would like to point out that perhaps the imaging and design approach is less-refined than I would do now. I think that the explanation and writing that I did for this project is in-line with my current effort and skills, but feel that I should point out that I do not believe this accurately displays my current level of design.
I do think it is worth pointing out, though, that I worked on this project before I knew how to use Figma and Illustrator, so I came up with some impressive work-arounds to accomplish what I needed to. I drew all of the imagery in a really clunky photoshop document and I put all of the screens together in Google Photos.
I am clarifying all of this because while I think it makes sense to display all of my best work, I also want to show how I've grown and adapted my skills over time to help me become a better designer with each passing day.
