This is a tote bag I made for Summer 2025 as part of a Minneapolis Summer Picnic Collection I created for my shop, itty bitty builds. I illustrated the design in Illustrator and got it printed on fabric. I also made the simple sewing pattern myself and actually designed it onto the fabric. You can see the various cut lines on the design file below. This ultimately really streamlined my production process. Speaking of which, once I got the fabric printed, I assembled these bags myself. I sewed them using a regular sewing machine and an industrial serger.
This is the design file I made in Illustrator. This is what one yard of printed fabric looks like. Here you can see how I use one yard to make three bags and their accompanying straps.
This is a short video I edited together in PremirePro to show the assembly process for these bags.
