This page shows you some of the miscellaneous furniture I've made over the years. These pictures show a sofa valet that I made in a high school wood shop class as an independent project.
This is what the bottom of my bathroom mirror looked like when I first moved into my apartment. I hated how it looked so I made a frame to go around the mirror and cover it up.
These are some pieces of trim that I bought. I measured them to the correct lengths and then I used a chop saw to cut them at 45 degrees. Then I spray painted the planks.
This is what the bathroom mirror looks like with the trim on it. I used double sided foam adhesive to stick it to the mirror. This makes the project renter-friendly because I can take the mirror down when I move out without causing any damage.
This is a desk that I bought off of Facebook Marketplace in 2019.
The desk was very dingy, had a lot of dents, and had so many layers of paint on it.
I used a paint stripper, a metal scraper, and a palm sander to remove all of the paint.
After I paint stripped the smaller pieces, I used sandpaper to sand the hard to reach spots.
This out of focus picture shows what the desk looked like when I finished stripping the paint.
I filled in the dents with wood putty and then I painted the desk with 3 coats of new paint.
I changed the drawer knobs and removed the bars from the top of the desk.
I bought a vanity mirror that I put on top of this desk.
This is what the desk looked like at the end.
This is an old love seat that my aunt gave me in 2020. I liked the shape of the couch but was not a fan of the color.
I reupholstered this couch and started by taking the old fabric off.
I picked out a new, nicer fabric to use as the new upholstery.
I traced the old fabric pieces that I took off to make the new replacement pieces.
I got to work stapling the new pieces in place in the reverse order that I took them off.
This is what the couch looked like when it was finished. I used it in my dorm when I moved to college.
