My friend Karen likes to write and send letters in the mail. She is very thoughtful about them and decorates the envelopes and cards. In 2023 I thought a good Christmas gift for her would be a custom wax letter seal. I had already received numerous letters from her so I had handwriting samples that I pulled to use in the stamp design. I scanned the samples into my computer using a printer. I used Adobe Illustrator's image trace tool to turn the writing into vector images. I cleaned up the lines and sized the design. I found a company online that manufactures these stamps if you send them a design. I picked out the handle shape and color, as well as the color of the metal for the stamp.
