Before
After
I first started using Photoshop in 2015 when I had access to it on my high school's computers. Though I have been using if for nearly a decade, I haven't been very skilled at using it until recent years. I took a class in undergrad in 2022 on how to use Adobe Suite products and Photoshop was heavily emphasized in this course. Since then, I use this tool constantly, mainly to retouch photos. I have use photoshop extensively in this website design which you have likely noticed. I use it often to enhance photos and remove their backgrounds. Here are a few examples of the many photoshop projects I've worked on.
This was a photo that was taken of me for my undergraduate graduation. I like the framing of this picture but believed I looked washed out.
This was a photo of me in my marker dress earlier that school year. I think the lighting was a lot more flattering.
This is the final photoshopped picture. I took the cap and gown from the first picture and photoshopped
This is a picture of my boyfriend, Will outside at a burger restaurant. I like the background and framing but his face looks funny.
This is another photo where I like his face more but not the way his hands look. I'm also not a fan of how cluttered the foreground looks.
I edited the two pictures of Will together to get this picture. I used the clone stamp tool to remove the chairs and extra cup in the foreground. I also enhanced the colors of the background.
This is a photo of my Grampa Kenny from when he was younger.
I colorized the image, added in shoulders, and feathered the bottom of the photo. I used this in the story book I made.
This is a picture I took of some overalls for the cover of the story book I made.
Together, I used this embroidered alphabet and patch I found online to make a patch for the title of the book.
I adjusted the coloring of the overalls since the white balance was out of wack. Then I edited the patch I made onto the photo. I added shadows and warped it so it fit in a bit. Then I applied a filter over the hold thing to make it look a little more cartoonized.
This is a photo of my great grandpa.
This is a colorized version of the photo where I also enhanced the clarity a little bit.
